THE SPRING SPAWNING SEASON IS HERE. EAGLES ARE ON NEST AND YOUNG ARE ACTIVE IN THE NESTS.(there are 20 nesting pairs here), GREAT PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES.KAYAKING THE UPPER BLUE BASIN AND THE FLOODED TIMBER AREAS IS GREAT NOW. WATER LEVEL IS UP ON THE REFUGE AREA AND ACCESSIBLE. . Fishing IS GREAT.

Reelfoot Lake offers great crappie fishing now until mid April then the Bluegill season is in full swing. Make resrvations now. Eagle and Osprey watching on the lake is great. Blue Basin rents kayaks or bring your own and come and kayak around the Cypress trees where the Osprey are nested and interact with the resident Eagles and their offspring.
